     After years of a drought of opportunities for Asian talent in major motion pictures and independent films we are now beginning to see more Asian faces in front and behind the camera.

     AsianConnections celebrates all people in the film industry making significant contributions to this art form and especially to those who are positive role models to our next generation of young Asian talent who are striving to fulfill their filmmaking dreams.

National Asian American Telecommunications Association (NAATA) - A long name for a truly dedicated powerhouse group empowered with strategic media alliances and the money to fund Asian American media projects. NAATA's website naatanet.org includes film reviews, plus a recap of its most successful film festival in its history, the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival that took place in March, 2000.
