The legendary Angkor Wat...it has a ring to it like Timbuktu or Marrakesh: far off and exotic! But with newly established direct flights from Bangkok to Siem Reap, you can now relish the treasures of Angkor for a weekend! Angkor Wat is distinguished as the largest Buddhist temple in the world, but is by no means Angkor's only attraction. The Bayon and Ta Prohm, two other temples on our itinerary, rival Angkor Wat in their  magnificence. Between the 9th and 13th centuries, a sequence of Khmer kings  undertook a series of huge construction projects to glorify themselves and their capitals. This weekend trip captures the best of Angkor's grandeur!
