Yuyun
is competing in the Speed Climbing event and is ranked first in
Speed in Indonesia.
Yuyun's best
result in Speed climbing was first place at the Asian X Games in
1998. The 1998 Asian Championship competition was held in December
where she placed second in the Speed event. As a Difficulty climber,
she is less experienced than the other climbers at the X Games.
Her best onsight is only 5.10 and her hardest redpoint is 5.12.
Yuyun trains
by just going climbing, which she does five days a week, for at
least two hours a day and does not follow any special diet. She
is studying Economic Management in college. She has three sisters
and two brothers, one of whom climb. Her parents are very supporting
o her climing. Outside of her climbing activities she likes to play
volleyball, and "party."
She is inspired
by another X Games competitor, Yuji Hirayama who is highly regarded
throughout Asia.
