  AsianConnections Team:  Master Yap, it's an honor to meet you today. Master Yap:  Thank you.

AC Team:  The role of Feng Shui is expanding all over the world. The Western world is learning about Feng Shui.  How long have you been a (Feng Shui) master?

Master Yap:  Actually I have practiced Feng Shui for more than forty years, but I have been teaching Feng Shui for only these three years. I have practiced Feng Shui for friends, for people just in Kuala Lumpur for more thirty years, so that time I only applied Feng Shui among friends, business friends and big developers, just good friends, but only now these three years I have been able to teach, because we have found the actual Feng Shui, to pass it to the world. Not the simple Feng Shui many people are using, very simple basic Feng Shui, (the) actual Feng Shui should be more complicated, should be more sophisticated.

AC Team:  From a Westerner's standpoint, (if) you are just learning Feng Shui, and there are many books, but you really cannot learn Feng Shui from books?

Master Yap:  Certainly, I mean for Feng Shui, you know, professional the same thing. University graduate, he cannot buy university books and study in the house. Medical doctor, he cannot buy all the books from the university and study in the house to become a doctor. Therefore you have to go to university, plus you have to go through housemanship, plus you have to see the patients. So Feng Shui (is) also the same thing. At first you have to study all the theory, later on you still have to go into practical (training). So to teach Feng Shui in theory and Feng Shui in practical is entirely very different things. So our Feng Shui is called Practical Feng Shui, because for people to use Feng Shui we vary in the background, but can apply into the daily world.

AC Team:  For Westerners who are just being exposed to something that is difficult to believe, that (using Feng Shui) can bring long-term health and happiness into one's life, can you explain?

Master Yap:  Now, you see why these three years are so busy? I go around the world from town, country to country to teach. If the Feng Shui is not true, then every country will not be following me. They follow me around the world, from London to New Zealand, to Australia, to South Africa. They follow me, all my students,... the serious ones, follow me all around the world. If that's no good the first class, the second class they won't take anymore. So there's proof, first thing that you can use it, secondly they are very successful in their job, thirdly they are very successful in their income, and family life all improve.
