Schools of Feng Shui: Eight Mansions School

To apply the Eight Mansions Feng Shui:

  • STEP ONE:
Calculate Your Life Kua (Natal Number)

    Males:
    - Take the last two digits of your year of birth and add them together.
    - Keep adding the figures until you get a single digit.
    - Subtract your final digit with 10. This is your kua number.
    Example: Male, born 1956 = 5 + 6 = 11 = 1 + 1 = 2  = 10 - 2 = 8 (kua number)

    Females:
    - Take the last two digits of your year of birth and add them together
    - Keep adding the figures until you get a single digit
    - ADD 5 to your number. (If your number is larger  than 10, add the two digits together one more time.) This is your kua number.
    Example: Female born 1956 = 5 + 6 = 11 = 1 + 1 = 2 = 2 + 5 = 7 (kua number)

NOTE: If your final number is FIVE (5), for males you will assume # 2, while for females you will assume #8.
  • STEP TWO
Superimpose the related Kua Number chart (below) over your house. The Auspicious Rooms according to your Kua number should be used as active rooms while the Inauspicious Sectors should be reserved for inactive rooms such as toilets or storeroom.
  • STEP 3
    SELECT YOUR CHART:
