Cueh Meng: Life Menacing

The most evil star in the Eight Mansions Feng Shui system is the Cueh Ming (Life Threatening) Star. Whether you are facing this direction or utilizing this direction, it could bring about calamities, illness, major arguments, loss of wealth and other financial problems.

In short, this is the WORST star and Feng Shui Masters often warned against unduly activating its influence. This sector should be avoided being used as Bedroom, Living, Study or Dinning Room. It is best to locate your toilet or utility room in your Cueh Meng Sector to subdue its power.

According the Eight Mansions Feng Shui Classics "Ba Cai Ming Jing" (Eight Mansions Mirror), the Cueh Ming Star is associated with the "Por Tsuen" Star, which is the element of Metal.

If it is not possible to relocate your toilet or storage room in this sector of the house, you may try to use some Auspicious Feng Shui symbology to lighten the evil influence of this sector or weaken its energy using the Five Element Theory.

• Kuan Yin
  The Goddess of Mercy bestows protection, safety, peace and compassion to the family. Her prowess are more than sufficient to help repress the evil influence of the Cueh Meng Star.

• The Luo Shu, Dragon Headed Tortoise
  Tortoises are associated with the element of the North, which is the element of Water. Because the Cueh Meng is of the Metal Element in the Five Element theory, Water can weaken its force.
  
  It is not uncommon for Feng Shui Masters to advise their clients to place a pond with live tortoises in this sector of the home. However, if this is not possible, the  symbolic representations of tortoises in the form of figurines are also acceptable.

• The Tai-Chi Ba Gua
  Instead of having a concave or convex Ba Gua mirror in the middle, the Tai-Chi Ba Gua has a Tai-Chi symbol. Many Taiwanese Feng Shui Masters prefer to use this version of a Ba Gua because it symbolizes syncroneity. It is used to balance the assertive evil forces (sha-chi) and dissipate its influence instead of reflecting them elsewhere.
