Lucy's Exclusive Interview with AC Team's Nancy Bui
Nancy Bui: What was it like to
make "Charlie's Angels?"
Lucy Liu: Oh,
it was so much fun. It was great working with Drew [Barrymore] and
Cameron [Diaz] and it was just an incredible opportunity.
Bui: Great. Do you have
any upcoming projects that you're working on?
Liu: No, I'm
sort of working on "Ally McBeal" right now and we're working on
the new season, and it's coming out really soon in a couple of weeks.
Bui: Do you have any words
of encouragement for those aspiring actresses out there?
Liu: Absolutely.
It's to persevere. If you really want to pursue it and follow your
dreams, follow whatever dreams they are. They don't have to be acting.
It can be writing, or other artistic endeavours or being a doctor.
Anything you want to do you should just go and try it.
Bui: How do you feel about
being possibly a role model for people that might want to get into
acting? Do you just see yourself as a person doing your job?
Liu: I do see
myself as a person, and I think it's encouraging always, to see
somebody else on screen who you can sort of relate to, but it's
also really scary because I'm definitely not perfect. So it's kind
of nice to just exist in the world and everything you do is kind
of generating other people's lives and their thoughts, and that
kind of gets crazy, but I try to not think that way.
Bui: Can you say hi to
our AsianConnections members?
Liu: Hi AsianConnections!
Bui: Thank you so much.
Liu: Oh, you're
welcome.
