 
Guilin,
and the region surrounding it, is home to China's fabled and magnificently
stunning limestone pinnacles. Most often when one sees pictures
of China, they are of the fog-enshrouded, strangely-shaped, almost
spooky karst mountains near Guilin. In this trip, we see a different
side of this beautiful area as we explore traditional minority villages
and experience their unique cultures. We enjoy Dong villagers' dancing
and weaving, stay in a Yao minority house - even work alongside
these farmers. If culture is your ken and you yearn to see a different
side of China, come along on this wonderful adventure! We offer
two and three-night versions of this trip.
Leaves Hong Kong: Approximately 7:00 pm Fridays (KA700)
Returns to Hong Kong: Approximately 10:30 pm Sundays (KA701)
 Evening
flight from Hong Kong to Guilin. Pick up at Guilin International
Airport by local outfitter and transfer by minibus to village of
Longsheng, approximately 3 hours away. Overnight in Yao minority
home.
Breakfast. Spend the day visiting with local Red Yao (long hair
Yao) farmers, eating in farmers' homes and fishing. In the late
afternoon, transfer to Sanjiang village, home of the Dong minority.
Enjoy villagers' dancing and weaving. Overnight in Sanjiang town.

Visit Chengyang Bridge and the village of Sanjiang. Enjoy Dong villager
weaving. Transfer back to Guilin International Airport for evening
