Mon Sept
02 USA / TAIPEI: Your adventure of a lifetime begins.
Tue Sept
03 TAIPEI (B/L/D): Arrive Taipei. We start off with a Taiwanese
breakfast, then proceed to the Taipei City Tour. Visit the world
renowned Palace Museum, the famous Lungshang Temple, and Yangming
Shan National Park. Accommodations at the spectacular Grand Hotel
or similar class hotel.
Wed Sept
04 TAIPEI (B/L/D): In the morning depart for Chiufen (Little
Old Shanghai). We visit the well-known Biksa Seafood Market, where
we can try out different kinds of seafood. For lunch, enjoy a tea
meal at the Mucha Tea Garden. Then we'll be off to Shen-Keng Tofu
Street, where Tofu is prepared in many ways. Enjoy a dumpling dinner
with a master class.
Thu Sept
05 TAIPEI/HUALIEN/TAIPEI (B/L/SD): After a short early morning
flight to Hualien, we'll visit one of the natural wonders of the
world, Taroko Gorge, and enjoy a cultural minority show. In the
afternoon, we return to Taipei for a Taiwanese-style Banquet with
a master chef cooking demonstration. Enjoy your last night in Taipei
at the exciting Shihlin Night Market, filled with street foods,
bargain shopping and souvenirs.
Fri Sept
06 TAIPEI/SINGAPORE (B/L/D): Upon arrival in the tropical city-state
of Singapore, known for its natural beauty, colonial history and
diverse ethnic cultures, we explore the city on an afternoon sightseeing
city tour. In the evening, we'll venture off to Clarke Quay for
dinner, a popular riverside nightlife district filled with dining
outlets, shops, and hip entertainment. Accommodations at Nikko Hotel
or similar.
Sat Sept
07 SINGAPORE (B/L): Visit Fort Canning Park, where At-Sunrice,
Singapore's Pan-Asian Culinary Centre is located, for a tour of
its Spice Garden and a special cooking demonstration. The afternoon
is free for you to explore Singapore. In the evening, enjoy a veritable
feast and have your pick (or mix!) of Chinese, Malay, and Indian
foods at the Hawker stands of Newton's Circle.
Sun Sept
08 SINGAPORE/HONG KONG/MACAU (B/D): Depart for Hong Kong. Upon
arrival, hop on a Hydrofoil to the former Portuguese colony, Macau.
Enjoy a welcome dinner with a master class. Accommodations at Hyatt
Regency Hotel or similar.
Mon Sept
09 MACAU/HONG KONG (B/L): Enjoy a city tour and see the Ruins
of St. Paul's, Temple of A-Ma, Penha Hill, Maritime Museum. The
tour ends in Coloane Village for an authentic Macanese lunch, a
unique blend of Cantonese and Portuguese. Then we hop on a Hydrofoil
returning to Hong Kong. Evening is free for you to experience Hong
Kong's bustling nightlife.
Tue Sept
10 HONG KONG (B/L): In the morning, a half-day city tour will
show us some of Hong Kong's highlights. A visit to the Chinese Cooking
Institute for a special cooking demonstration and luncheon. Evening
is free to shop and explore the city on your own. Accommodations
at Royal Pacific Tower.
Wed Sept
11 HONG KONG (B/SD): Dim Sum breakfast with master class. In
the afternoon, we will meet to take a Chinese Junk, boat tour of
Hong Kong Harbor and walk through the colorful Lei Yue Mun Seafood
Village Market. See the exotic live seafood displayed in tanks and
enjoy a seafood banquet at a famous restaurant. After dinner, we
motor-coach back to the hotel.
Thu Sept
12 HONG KONG (B/SD): A free day to shop and explore Hong Kong
leisurely on your own. We'll celebrate the end of our visit to Hong
Kong with a traditional Chinese wedding banquet dinner. Live entertainment
opens our Wedding Banquet festivities, followed by a procession
of spectacular food courses.
Fri Sept
13 HONG KONG/USA: Savor unforgettable memories of your adventure
as you board your select flight home.

Unused Tour
Arrangements
No refund will be made for any missed or unused ground services,
hotel accommodations or meals.
Travel Documents
U.S. Citizens are required to possess a valid passport. Most
countries require the passport be valid for a period of six months
after your scheduled return. A visa is required for China. Holders
of passports from countries other than the United States of America
should inquire about their specific visa requirements. Since visa
requirements change periodically, it is advisable to consult your
travel agent concerning the latest requirements. While visa fees
are not included in the tour price, Shangri-La Holidays Travel Lines
will offer a visa service for U.S. citizens. Details will be offered
at time of reservation.
Tour Prices
All rates are quoted in U.S. dollars and are based on tariffs
and exchange rates in effect at the time of printing of this brochure.
Adjusted prices will be advised if air fares, land prices, or currency
exchange rates are revised. Shangri-La Holidays Travel Lines guarantees
the tour price against any increase only when the tour is paid in
full.
Air Transportation
All air transportation is based on economy class travel and
is subject to the rules of the particular fare utilized. Flight
schedules and prices are subject to change without notice. Business
class transpacific is available at a supplement.
Baggage
Allowances and capabilities vary widely among airlines and countries.
We recommend for efficient travel that each passenger travel with
only one suitcase and one carry-on bag. Excessive number, size,
or weight of luggage may result in your inconvenience and/or surcharge.
PROGRAM INCLUDES
Air Transportation
Air transportation is provided in economy class where indicated.
Hotels
Accommodations are provided at Deluxe properties with private
bath and air conditioning. Costs are based on two people sharing
a twin-bedded room. For persons requiring a single room, the supplemental
cost is shown. If circumstances dictate, accommodations at alternate
hotels of equal quality will be arranged.
Meals
Meals are included as indicated.
Land Transportation
Round trip transfers between airports, piers and hotels by either
private vehicle or seat-in-van/coach basis are included as indicated.
Sightseeing
Tours by motorcoach with the services of an English-speaking
guide, including all entrance fees, are included as indicated. Modern
air conditioned equipment is used when available.
Hotel Taxes
All service charges and taxes at hotels are included in the
program pricing. Tour Preparation The costs of planning and operating
the programs are included in the program pricing.
Documentation
A souvenir copy of your itinerary, baggage tags, local maps,
and destination materials are provided where available.
PROGRAM EXCLUDES
Any extra transportation which is not part of the itinerary,
tips to escort(s), drivers or guides, passport or visa fees, insurance,
foreign airport charges/taxes, U.S. air-port, immigration and customs
fees. Also not included are excess baggage charges, hotel porterage,
