Celebrity Chef Martin Yan hosted MoCA's Lucky Red Legacy dinner at Jing Fong in New York on June 5, 2002. Over 500 gathered to feast on a menu prepared by Saffron 59 and to honor journalist Helen Zia, activist Grace Lee Boggs, set designer Ming Cho Lee, and Judge Thomas Russell Jones.

The Museum of Chinese in the Americas (MoCA) is a full-time, professionally staffed museum devoted to reclaiming, preserving, and interpreting the history and culture of Chinese people and their descendants in the Western Hemisphere. The Museum provides historical and visual arts exhibitions, walking tours, school and public programs, a museum shop and extensive archives of Chinese American and Asian American studies.
