Pays Tribute to a
Community Leader - I.K. Ishimatsu
I.K. "Ishi" Ishimatsu, was one of the most influential community
leader in America - Ishimatsu passed away at the age of 100 on June
21, 2000. He helped guide into office noted politicians such as
former U.S. Congressman Norman Mineta and Assemblyman Mike Honda
and was a generous contributor to Japantown's Yu-Ai Kai community
center and its Buddhist church in San Jose, California. To read

His great-grandsons Conor and Grayson Ishimatsu, two young
talents from Los Angeles, were recently cast to play young Jackie
Chan and his schoolmate on MTV's "BIOrythym," which premiered in
